Tiffani Kim, Owner of the Tiffani Kim Institute on her Home Style

What is your home style?
I think the style is modern eclectic. Peace and comfort! I need to be surrounded by calm and soothing colors. I want to feel comfortable and be surrounded by things I love, like photographs of everyone I love, little or big things I picked up from my travels, or personal things that were given to me by my friends. I am a very personal person. I love everything I have in my home. I am very comfortable in my home, like how I feel so comfortable in my skin.

Loves
I need to have my baby, my dog “Monster the 3rd” and all of his organic toys. Furniture pieces like my dining room and kitchen tables that were designed by the most talented architect and friend Darcy Bonner. They are like art pieces, but not so overpowering, so I am able to enjoy and admire them for all these years. I need to surround myself with art which I love and appreciate. My favorites are the oil paintings by my friend Sandorfi, who I met in Paris about 10 years ago, but who passed away last year. I think he was one of the most talented artist’s I have ever met and also am envious of. I have never felt envious of anyone except him because I am an artist and God has bestowed him the talent that he didn’t give me. Fresh orchids and fresh flowers 24/7, 365 days a year.  I need to have green and alive things around me all the time, like lucky bamboos. Lemon essential oil, especially when I have company, it puts everyone in a fabulous mood. I must have music like Laura Fiji, Elvis Presley’s love songs, Edith Piaf, and Andrea Bocelli.
Placemats, napkins and napkin rings I designed from Bali. Himalayan 8-ply pure cashmere throws. Local brand Vosges Haut Chocolate.
